7 Signs Your Website Is Costing You Customers

1. Your phone number isn't tappable

If your phone number is baked into an image instead of real text, a mobile visitor can't tap to call it — they have to manually dial it, and most won't bother.

2. There's no pricing signal anywhere

Even a rough 'starting at' figure filters in serious buyers before they ever pick up the phone. Zero pricing information reads as either amateurish or evasive to a skeptical visitor comparing options.

3. Every page shares one generic 'Contact Us' button

A visitor reading about a specific service should get a call-to-action specific to that service — a free audit, a consult, a quote request — not the same button repeated across every single page on the site.

4. It takes more than a couple seconds to load

A slow site loses visitors before they ever see the pitch. Page speed is also a direct ranking factor, so a slow site is quietly losing both on search visibility and on-page conversions at the same time.

5. It's not mobile-friendly

More than half of local searches happen on a phone. A site that requires pinching and zooming to read is actively pushing away the majority of its potential traffic.

6. There's no real proof — just claims

'We're the best' means nothing without something behind it — real reviews, real case studies, real numbers. Generic claims with no evidence read as less credible than no claim at all.

7. Nobody's checked it in over a year

Broken links, outdated hours, an old team photo — stale details erode trust fast, both with visitors and with search engines, which measurably reward freshness on frequently-updated pages.
